Hi -
Here is DK, a little display hack I have been working on for much
longer than my family would like. I still haven't got all the features
included that I would like to have, but there are lotsa folks out there who
can improve on it. Released to the Public Domain, distribute freely,
but not for profit.
In the Credit Where Credit Is Due department, the inspiration for this
idiocy came from Leo Schwab's inane but wonderful creations -- if you
haven't downloaded them yet, search the library for his name and do so
immediately. DK is minor league stuff compared to some of his (notably
ROBOTROFF). Credit also to TDI Modula-2 version 3.00a, with which this was
compiled (it won't compile under earlier versions). A fine system. I'm
including the source in the ARC. (ARC.023 used to ARC file).
Finally, I suggest you run DK per the instructions below *FIRST*,
before you look at the source, as some of the fun is in the surprise.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Make sure there is nothing on your CLI screen you care about
2. After UN-ARCing, simply type `dk <return>' from the CLI
3. Be patient - it takes a minute to get going
4. Click the close gadget when you get tired of it, or it will keep
going until it is finished and then return control to you.
Have fun,
Thomas H. Handel
